Scary Movie Wednesday 30th August 2006 ____________________________________________________________________
Our
final friendly against a team from the A division. We still had players missing, but only a
few. We had had a close game against
these at the end of last season, and we wanted to see if we had improved. The usual captains returned. We still had problems with the Dictaphone, so
unfortunately this is just the goals, the line up and the final scores, sorry!
Game
1 - The line up was:
Sam
B
Jack Joel
Josef Josh
Tom
Joe
We won a corner so the
routine we had been working on was tried and actually worked. As the ball came in from Joe, Josh attacked the middle and the ball came
off of his shoulder, high into the back of the net 0-1.
The second half saw us
piling on even more pressure and a long throw from Joe, which had caused them
all sorts of problems in the game wasnt cleared properly and Josh pounced on the loose ball to hit
it home 0-2.

Game
2 - The line up was:
Joby
Sam
B Spike
Jim Sam K
Max
Chilly
Rolling Sub: Dan
They went a lot stronger
in the second game and we were slow to wake up.
They attacked down their right and crossed it. Jim tried to clear it, but only succeeded in
turning over Joby and into the net 1-0. Sam B was then last man with the ball at his
feet and tried to beat the two attackers.
He beat the first, but couldnt do it twice and they were in on Joby
giving him no chance 2-0. We gave away a free kick on their right quite
a way out which they elected to shoot.
Joby got behind it, but it caught him in the stomach and winded him, and
he was unable to hold onto it. Our team
stood and watched as their attacker reacted instantly 3-0.
The last goal was the final
insult. We threw caution to the wind
trying to get back into the game and were always susceptible to the
counter-attack. They did so and a
Keynsham player hit it towards our goal from the half-way line. It was Cameron against Joby. Cameron ran across the ball to take it around
Joby but missed the ball totally. Joby
went with Cameron as that is where the ball was going to go, and he missed it
as well, and the pass from the half-way line trickled in to the back of the net
4-0!
