Pear
Shaped Organisation

With
Tuesday’s organisation going the way of the pear, we feared the worst.
Unfortunately, we were right. He
had one team coming later but could have got two if the local contact had told
him! It was decided to split into
three teams. Greens v Yellows
followed by the third team playing against
Game

James
B Oscar
Jack B
Luke
G Haydn S
Matt L
Spike
Yellows
Josef
James
M Corey M
Aaron
Luke A

It
was a bit of a melee match, but everyone got involved in the game.
Charlie attacked, but was stopped by Oscar and James B combining well.
Then Luke A attacked but was stopped by Jack B.
Jack cleared the ball down the line for Matt to chase, but Aaron slid
in and the ball went for a throw.
The
second half became more a war of attrition, but Sam B denied Luke A very well.
He was then out to clear as Aaron was through.

Joe
passed the ball to Josh, and he played it back to Sam K, whose shot flew just

some good possession football, but were weren’t
really able to turn that dominance in to goals.
It started to rain, much to the annoyance of Josh as the silver in his
hair started to run down his face. Joe
pushed their defenders back towards their goal, earning us a corner.
Sam B played it to Tom, and he teed it up for Joe to shoot just wide.
We were dominating play at this point, but we did not have a shot.
After 10 minutes, Jamie made his first save as they broke quickly, with
our team committed forward. It
went out for a corner, and we just didn’t seem to mark players, and as the
ball came in, a
In
the second half, we went into battle, challenging for every ball, harrying
their players and looking to win it back.
Mark and Jack were defending halfway into their half, that’s how much
pressure we were putting them under. One
ball came out to Jack and he hit it hard, but wide.
Mark then got it and played it wide to Josh.
He shot, but it was deflected out for a corner.
Joe then won the ball in midfield and ran forward before hitting a
shot, which knocked the ‘keeper backwards, but he managed to hold onto it.
Sam B put Sam K through, but his shot hit the outside of the post.

was a real shame about the mix up, as we had had two good games against
