Hmmm, well I wasn’t looking forward to writing this one. I didn’t particularly enjoy the match so I guess I should keep this report simple. As per usual a very good team talk by Jim but (or at least to my knowledge) the team just didn’t perform. After a heavy and pretty demoralising defeat to South Bristol things seemed to be the same story at Yate.

Seeing as though I can’t remember many of their goals all I can say is that, at least 3 were offside and more were just flukes. I think we tried, but personally I was out of practice (due to the flooded pitches). I don’t know why the rest of the team didn’t perform, maybe things just didn’t click.

Some of the things (and there were a lot) that went wrong, were; people not moving up quickly enough, thus making our offside trap useless and yet again the ‘parting of the red sea’ in midfield. Not enough headers were put in and a lot of the challenges on opposition lacked confidence. I can’t say my performance was good either.

Personally I think all we got out of the match was another statistic for the table and a nice goal for Aaron (well done mate).

I think changes need to be made, but things can only get better.
